FAQs

For any questions please email Shara at [email protected].
How long are sessions generally?
Sessions are typically 60 minutes, although some of the specific assessments will go up to 90 minutes. The exact duration depends on the specific needs and goals of each client.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing is recommended. This allows for ease of movement during testing, treatment, assessments and exercises.
Where are you located?
We are located inside of Ironside Athletics in the Safeway Plaza on Harmony and McMurry. You can find our address and contact details on the Contact Us page.
How long will it take to see results?
The number of treatments is tailored to each individual, depending on their initial assessment, and how they respond to treatment. Factors such as age, the duration of the injury, and muscle compensation patterns play a role in this response. In about 50% of cases, a positive response after the initial session may eliminate the need for follow-up visits. However, for clients with joint injuries or those engaged in activities causing ongoing trauma (such as endurance athletes), repeated visits might be necessary. This ensures proper maintenance of health and function, especially in chronic or severe cases.
What should I expect in a session?
Each session begins with a “diagnostics check”. Based on this check in, we'll employ a combination of techniques, which may include MAT, ELDOA, and Corrective Exercise, to address your specific concerns.
What sort of injuries do you treat?
We work with a wide range of injuries, including but not limited to back pain, joint issues, muscular imbalances, and postural problems. Our tailored approach ensures that we address your specific condition effectively.
What ages do you treat?
We work with clients of all ages, from children to seniors. Our techniques can be adapted to suit the needs and capabilities of individuals at different stages of life.
Do you help people with exercise programs?
Yes, we offer personalized exercise programs designed to support your specific goals, whether it's improving strength, mobility, or overall fitness.
Do you help your clients with nutrition programs?
We begin by having you do a 7 day food journal. Then we use a series of questionnaires to uncover common obstacles individuals encounter on their journey towards improved health. The contemporary fitness industry often neglects crucial facets of well-being, such as sleep quality, digestion, detoxification, and stress management, as well as the timing and content of one's diet. If your exercise routine isn't yielding the desired results, these often serve as underlying factors
Do you take insurance?
We currently do not accept insurance. However, we can provide you with documentation to submit for possible reimbursement from your insurance provider.
How often do I need to come?
The frequency of sessions depends on your specific needs and goals. Initially, we may recommend more frequent visits, gradually transitioning to a maintenance schedule as you progress.
How do I know if I should do MAT, ELDOA, or Corrective Exercise?
During an initial consultation, we will conduct a thorough assessment to understand your unique situation. Based on the findings, we will recommend a customized approach that may include MAT, ELDOA, or Corrective Exercise, or a combination of these techniques. Oftentimes we will begin with MAT with ELDOA as your take home tools. This will often progress into Corrective Exercise. This can also be based on the clients desires and
